It is with regret that we inform you of the death of Mrs Breda Hughes, wife of Robert Hughes, former PPU President, mother of David, Mark and Gavin.

HUGHES (née Dalton) Breda (Ballsbridge, Dublin) 30th January 2023 (peacefully) at Clonskeagh Hospital. Beloved wife of Robert and much loved mother of David, Cora, Mark and Gavin, predeceased by her sisters Molly and Lily and her brother Joe. She will be sadly missed by her family, sons-in-law Darren and Paul, daughter-in-law Louise, her grandchildren Megan, Conor and Robert, her sister Cora and brother William, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at her home on Thursday afternoon (2nd February) from 3.00 pm until 5.00pm. Removal to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Donnybrook on Friday morning (3rd February), arriving at 10.50 am for Funeral Mass at 11.00 am, which may be viewed on the parish webcam https://donnybrookparish.ie/webcam/ followed by burial at Kilmacanogue Cemetery. No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland.
