PPU News

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday for the St Mary’s College PPU Annual Business Networking Lunch at the Iveagh Garden Hotel. It was a superb afternoon and evening and another strong example of the energy and engagement across the Mary’s community.

A sincere word of thanks to all those who supported the event, particularly our raffle sponsors. We are hugely grateful to BrewCrew (https://brewcrew.ie), kindly sponsored by Kieran Curtin, class of 1991, for the Guinness keg prize, to Fanagans for sponsoring the Ireland v Scotland Six Nations tickets, to Pitch Golf (https://pitchgolf.ie/) for the €200 voucher, and to everyone who contributed prizes on the day. Your generosity added enormously to the occasion.

We would also like to thank those who supported the lunch by taking tables, including: Davy, Google, SparksWealth, Declan Harmon and Fanagans. Your continued backing plays a key role in keeping these events such a success year on year.

A special thank you to Bobby Healy, founder of Manna Air Delivery, who was an outstanding and engaging speaker. Bobby gave a fascinating insight into his journey, the development of Manna, and the work they are doing here in Ireland and beyond. He was expertly interviewed by Declan Harmon, who put his barrister skills to good use in guiding a sharp, informative and highly enjoyable conversation.

Bobby also spoke powerfully about the work of Debra Ireland (represented by Ian Collins on the day), and we are very pleased to confirm that €4,000 has been donated to Debra Ireland as part of the raffle proceeds of the dinner. More information on the organisation and their work can be found here:
https://www.debra.ie

We are grateful to Barney McGill and the entire team at the Iveagh Garden Hotel for hosting us so well. The setting, service and atmosphere were first class, and the event carried on long after lunch, exactly as these gatherings should.

Thanks, once again to Ian Redmond, class of 1991 for capturing the day on camera (see gallery).

Thank you again to everyone who attended and supported the lunch. We look forward to welcoming you to the next PPU event.
