Dear Past Pupils,
It is an immense honour and privilege to serve as President of the St. Mary’s College Past Pupils’ Union.
Mary’s has been a huge part of my life, from my own school days starting in Form 2 in 1991 to now watching my sons begin their own journeys. This Union plays a vital role in keeping our community strong, connected, and supportive.
I want to thank our outgoing President, John McDonald, for his energy, ideas, and leadership over the past year. He leaves the Union in great shape and hands it on with real momentum.
Looking ahead, my focus is built around three simple pillars.
A Sustainable Union
We want to grow paid membership, renew lapsed members, and build lasting sponsorships. Every euro raised should deliver visible results, like the refurbished Junior School Hall floor.
New Events and Broader Reach
Alongside some of our marquee events such as the Annual Dinner, Business Lunch, Golf Day, and revitalized Junior Function, we will be releasing a limited-edition Union Whiskey and organizing a London get-together.
Leave No Man Behind
From the Men’s Den project for older members to supporting younger past pupils and building professional networks, the Union should be there for everyone at every stage.
None of this happens without the commitment of our new Committee, who have both the ability and the drive to deliver on the year ahead (click here to see the full Committee).
I also want to thank our Past Presidents for their guidance and support, the generosity of our sponsors, and most importantly the Past Pupils themselves, who support each other, attend events, and keep St Mary’s the special, tight-knit community that it is.
