Dear Fellow Past Pupils,
As we enter the 100th year of the St. Mary's College Past Pupils' Union, it is a great honour and privilege to serve as your President.
No Union thrives without the commitment of those willing to give their time and energy in service of others. I would therefore like to acknowledge the many individuals who have served before me, and I especially want to thank our outgoing President, Marcus Spring, whose commitment and leadership over the past year have made a significant contribution to the Union.
For many of us, our school years provided far more than an education. They gave us lifelong friendships, enduring values, and a lasting sense of belonging. The shared experiences we carry with us continue to connect us across generations, careers, and countries around the world. Our Union exists to nurture those connections. Whether you left the school eighty years ago or just a few months ago, there is a place for you within our community.
I am excited about what lies ahead. Our Union has a proud tradition, and we must always strive to grow and evolve. In the year ahead, we have a number of exciting new initiatives and events to look forward to. We will expand our social and networking opportunities, continue to support school initiatives, and make greater use of digital platforms to help past pupils stay connected wherever they may be in the world.
I am fortunate to be working with an outstanding committee, and I thank each of them for their willingness to give their time, energy, and expertise. Together, we will work to ensure that your Union remains relevant, welcoming, and valuable to current and future generations of St. Mary's past pupils.
I encourage every past pupil to stay connected, attend our events, support our initiatives, and share your ideas on how we can continue to improve. The strength of any community lies in the participation and generosity of its members, and together we can ensure that our Union continues to thrive for many years to come.
I would also like to thank our Past Presidents for their guidance and support, and to acknowledge the generosity of both our longstanding sponsors and those who have recently joined us. Without their commitment and support, much of what we do would not be possible.
I look forward to renewing old friendships, making new ones, and working together to ensure that the bonds we share through all things St. Mary's continues to flourish for generations to come.
