On behalf of the St Mary’s College Past Pupils’ Union, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday. It was a wonderful evening, full of energy, connection and pride, and it placed both the College and the Union in a very positive light.
With one of our largest attendances ever, the atmosphere from start to finish reflected everything that makes Mary’s special: people showing up, looking out for each other, and embracing the chance to reconnect.
A huge word of thanks to all of our partners (Cater Hire and Taurus Productions) and supporters who made the night possible.
A sincere thank you also to the many others who helped bring the night together. Vinny Hanlon provided exceptional food and catering. Eugene Strong of Vineyard Wines supplied excellent wines. Gareth and Robert McHugh from The Wishing Well ensured everyone was well looked after at the bar. Their professionalism, generosity and partnership were central to the success of the evening.
I’m delighted to share that, thanks to your generosity, we raised just under €11,000 in the raffle, our largest amount ever and an incredible result. This will be split equally between our two charity partners, the SAMACORA Fund and Debra (www.debra.ie). In addition, a contribution will be made to the St Mary’s Scouts in recognition of their diligent work throughout the evening.
Thank you to those who contributed prizes and support. Johnny Sexton very kindly donated a signed jersey. FUEL (Brian McDermott 2004) sponsored the events tickets, and further support came from Host (Niall McDermott 2001) , neighbours Reggie’s and Vineyard Wines (Eugene Strong). Your contributions added fantastic energy to the night and helped make the raffle such a success.
Once again, thank you to everyone who attended, supported, sponsored, organised and contributed. It was one to remember!
Warm regards,
Marcus Spring
President
