The Class of 2000 had their 25 year reunion on Saturday 7th June with 34 members of the year attending, some from abroad and some from the Northside.

As has become the tradition we started off in the school (well some started in Slattery’s) where a number of our teachers joined us to catch up. Denis Murphy walked us through some of the changes the school has been through since our time there. We strolled the corridors reminiscing about core memories such as who really won the cage fight of ‘98, the tension of waiting by the main corridor noticeboard for the teams to be posted up by Fr Flavin, and which teachers gave us the hardest time and vice versa - Denis was particularly vocal on this last one.

We moved on to Shaku Maku (via Slattery's) for some great grub and the lowdown on how our lives turned out versus expectations - wives and children holding us back was the consistent theme. One final return to Slattery’s to plan the 30 year out somewhere on the continent rounded off the proceedings nicely.

Many thanks to the PPU for supporting the reunion and to Denis and the school for facilitating the trip down memory lane.
