Contributors to the history of St Mary's Cricket

A special thanks to Past Pupil, Vincent Mc Govern (Class 0f 1953) whose initiative it was to compile a history of cricket in St Mary’s. Vincent has contributed significantly over the years to the perseveration of the history of the college.

Fr Dick Olin, C.S.Sp. whose dedicated work gathered, documented and digitised the photos presented on this website.

Fr William Maher, C.S.Sp. – Many extracts from his book A History of St Mary’s College Rathmines Dublin 1890-1990 are used in the building of this website with most of the content coming directly from his book.

Fr John Flavin, C.S.Sp. whose reflections on the history of cricket in the school form the basis of much of the content here.

Fr Frank Barry, C.S.Sp. whose photos have been extensively used throughout this project.

Past Pupils Michael Fanagan (Class of 1975) for sponsorship and project management as well as Michael Foley (Class of 1988) for the design and development of the online archive.

Thank you also Past Pupil Union President Brian McEniff (Class of 1986) and committee for supporting the project.
