The Annual Lorcan Gogan Public Speaking Competition took place on Friday the 8th of May in the Fr. Barry Hall.
This event was attended by the whole Senior School as well as members of staff and a number of Past Pupils.
8 candidates from 5th and 6th competed to win the coveted trophy and they spoke on various topics including, Mental Illness, American culture in Irish society & Freedom of Speech.
The standard of speaker was excellent and in the end the adjudicating panel of Gareth Halpin, Peter Mac Giolla Riogh & Steve Tracey award the Lorcan Gogan Trophy to Luke Mountaine.
The PPU would like to thank 6th Year Dean, Mr. Nicholas Fitzsimons for organising a very enjoyable afternoon.
